My MacBook is cursed!

You may remember yesterday when I wrote about all the problems and repairs my MacBook has had. I was really hoping that the latest round of repairs would be the last.

Today with great glee I opened up my ADC mailing and slid the the disc into my MacBook, only to hear a grinding noise and be left with this:

Scratches are a bit hard to take a photo of, especially with an iPhone, but they’re so bad you can actually see them in this picture.

So, it’s back to the Apple Store for another round of repairs. Since I’m going to have to be dealing with them anyway, I’ll complain about the dead pixels they left me with last time.

As an upaid/unofficial Macevangelist I apologize.. last year I helped a computer luddite get a MacBook… all was well, until last week.. the dreaded folder icon covered by a ?.. The trouble is he moved 1500 miles west and I can’t be there to make sure he updates.. maybe let Onyx do it’s magic/maintenance, and remind him to at least do a restart monthly. He always let’s it sleep vs. shutting it down, as he should. Luckily for me/him he has Applecare because apparently his HD failed, f*%K! He much of his stuff on CDs, but not all. anyway.. for a computer a year and a half old, that was treated w/ kid gloves, and not used for professional reasons, i.e., light computing.. this really sucks. Is Apple losing its shine, I hope not.. ’cause things are really looking up for them marketwise, finally.
